Prof. Kamal Hadidi the president of the West Asia RADO met with the minister of Youth and Sport Mr. Ahmad Almubarqa’ and the President of the National Olympic Committee of Iraq Mr. Ra’ad Hamoudi in coordination with the representative of Iraq in the West Asia RADO and director of Sport Medicine Department Dr. Haider Wahab in Baghdad. The meetings were part of the operational plan of the West Asia RADO that aims to foster and strengthen the relationship with the stakeholders in Iraq to support the national anti-doping program and promote the importance of establishing a national independent entity that implements all aspects of the anti-doping program. Great appreciation was extended by the Ministry and the Olympic Committee to the West Asia RADO for its efforts in providing continuous support and guidance for its member countries to enable them to comply with the World Anti-Doping Code and its International Standards.
A Results Management training was hosted by the National Olympic Committee of Iraq for a group of national legal experts conducted by the West Asia RADO President Prof. Kamal Hadidi and the Secretary General Ms. Seena Hatuqay, where the trainees were introduced to the World Anti-Doping Code and the International Standard for Results Management in addition to the adjudication process and the elements for a successful fair and impartial hearing.
As a token of appreciation, the West Asia RADO exchanged gifts of honor with the Ministry and the Olympic committee, whereas the trainees received certificates of participation.
